The Water Project @ Éiríocht: Silent Green, Berlin
ModularSynth Rig
The Water Project presented a live improvised audiovisual show at Silent Green in Berlin. The centerpiece of this performance was a cymatic amplifier, which directed sine wave frequencies at specific amplitudes into a body of water housed in a waterproof speaker.
This interaction created intricate and mesmerizing patterns on the water's surface, visually representing the sound frequencies. These evolving patterns were captured by an onboard camera and streamed to the projection mapping array at Silent Green Kupenhalla.
This setup allowed the intricate cymatic patterns to be cast onto the 17-meter high cupola dome, creating an immersive visual experience for the audience. The projection brought the dynamic interplay of sound and water to life on a grand scale, integrating art, science, and technology.
